It is reported that Central Asia-China gas pipeline D line is being prepared actively and it will bring into production in 2016. Then D line will remit gas tension in Xinjiang.
On June 3rd, Meng Fanchun, the vice general manager of TAPLINE (Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline Company Limited) introduced that gas supplying to China from Central Asia would reach to 85 trillion cubic meters per year. Central Asia-China gas pipeline will become the largest gas transmission system in central Asia.
Meng said that Central Asia-China gas pipeline D line would begin to be built at the end of this year. With the Central Asia-China gas pipeline A line, B line, C line and D line bringing into production in succession, gas resources in Central Asia will be transmitted to China mainland through West-East gas pipeline second line, third line, fourth line and fifth line, becoming important energy channel, economic artery and friendship bridge which connect china with every country in central Asia.
Design gas transmission capacity of Central Asia-China gas pipeline D line is 30 trillion cubic meters per year and it will be finished in 2016. D line crosses through four countries in Central Asia, entering into China from Wuqia County and connecting with West-East gas pipeline fifth line. Then, Xinjiang will have two gas ports.
With Central Asia-China A line and B line putting into operation in succession, C line the third line transmitting gas from Central Asia to China has been already brought into production on June 15th. Currently, transmission capacity of C line has reached to 7 billion cubic meters per year.
